Automotive Application Engineer @ Vehicle System Engineering

Vehicle System Engineering (V.S.E.) is the specialist and partner that, with thorough knowledge of vehicle dynamics, develops and supplies smart and flexible steering and suspension systems where the safety of people, machines and information is paramount. V.S.E. makes commercial vehicles perform and yield better in terms of comfort, sustainability and safety. In order to realize this mission, VSE wants to strengthen the business relationship with truck and trailer manufacturers as a supplier of steering and suspension systems. For V.S.E. we are currently looking for an Automotive Application Engineer.

As you will...

  • Within projects you play an important role towards the customer when it comes to advice on the application of the system/product;
  • Together with internal stakeholders such as Account Managers, Project Managers, System Architects and colleagues from Production Engineering you map out the specifications for applications;
  • You coordinate mutual expectations and needs;
  • With your professional knowledge and vision you are a full-fledged discussion partner;
  • You know how to translate the needs of the customer into a progressive design and configuration within the established application architecture;
  • You take care of the cost calculation and system documentation;
  • You also monitor the continuity of the existing applications by resolving malfunctions, answering questions from users and making functional changes at the request of the users.

Your Profile

  • HBO work and thinking level (Bachelor degree Automotive Engineering);
  • Approx. 3-5 years of work experience in a similar position within the Automotive or related sectors;
  • Extensive experience with 3D/CAD designs;
  • Experience with the Zuken – Siemens NX software package is a plus;
  • Sense of commerce;
  • Strongly developed analytical insight;
  • Command of English, German and/or French is a plus;
  • Willingness to travel abroad.
