Interested in how your tasks will look like?

 

  • Nearly all of the Trucks that we convert at ESTEPE are custom made, unique and need a type approval ( WVTA);
  • Because all of the by ESTEPE converted trucks are homologated and possess a WVTA we might be able to take advance of these previous applications and "do not invent the wheel twice";
  • I will be your challenge to define a plan of approach how to make use of some parts of our previous applications;
  • Because most of our conversions are "one of a kind" the inspection and approval authorities will be guided by you to avoid waisiless investments and timespend not making advance of the previous conducted tests and documented homologation process;
  • By offering the authorities "proven concept" of previous homologated applications you will bridge the gap between "new design and the WVTA";
  • You will propose which tests are needed to ensure the qualification of the new application in line with the legal guidelines;
  • Als Test & Homologation Engineer you need to follow up the (UN)ECE-guidelines including specific local legislation in some countries within the EU;
  • In case of new upcoming regulations you are responsible to forecast the impact of the new standards for new and existing truck conversions;
  • As Test & Homologation Engineer you are part of the R&D team and during the development of a new application you will "predict"the homologation impact;
  • You responsibility includes the preparation of the physical and simulated tests;
  • It is evident that it is you responsible to document and maintain new and previous WVTA’s/Certifications;
  • Next to that you will edit 2e phase CoC’s (Certificate of Conformity);
  • Within the Engineering department of ESTEPE of 10 engineers there a 2 direct colleuages that are responsible for the the approval and admission of vehicle modifications;

What do you bring to the table?

 

  • As a team player, you have a structured working style, an eye for detail, accuracy;
  • The proficiency of your English and German languages are on good command;
  • You need to have the necessary intelligence to understand laws and regulations and convince certification bodies how to interpret them;
  • You have a HBO-Automotive thinking and working level and you have proven homologation experience, preferably within the truck/body/trailer industry;
  • Within ESTEPE we work with software from Microsoft Office, Adobe, ProFile and ISAH, so experience with this is an advantage;
  • You have a proactive, self-reliant working style and people call you eager and result-oriented;
  • You are creative and solution-oriented and you find it a sport to homologate a new application/modification quickly and efficiently;
  • Together with the inspection authorities you come up to a suitable solution;
  • You have to "juggle and keep a lot of balls in the air"
  • Therefore it is necessary that you are stress resistant;
  • Your working method is iterative, 2 steps forward and perhaps a step back, then forward again;
  • The material you deal with on a daily basis is high tech and comlex and you need to master this matter quickly, partly by using the knowledge available within ESTEPE where you get a good coach at your side;
  • You also need to be disciplined to be able to properly document all processes;
